The Deputy Gilles Lehouillier announced on behalf of the Minister of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade, Mr. Clément Gignac, the payment of a non-repayable contribution $ 96 300 to OmegaChem R&D project of $ 642 000. The project involves the purchase of equipment and development of a new laboratory that will contain 20 separate workspaces and accommodates as many chemists.

OmegaChem article on XtalFluor® Salts is among the Journal of Organic Chemistry Top 20 most downloaded articles over the last 12 months. The article entitled "Aminodifluorosulfinium Salts: Selective Fluorination Reagents with Enhanced Thermal Stability and Ease of Handling" is available free of charge through the ACS AuthorChoice Program since April 21, 2010.

OmegaChem has been honored for its excellent innovation by receiving the 2010 PerformAS Award delivered by the Department of Economic Development, Innovation and Export (MDEIE). This award aims to celebrate and honor the development efforts of a chemical manufacturer in Quebec and its achievements. OmegaChem distinguished itself  by creating and marketing new fluorinating reagents used in the manufacture of drugs.
