May 3, 2010 - XtalFluor Reagents get Media Coverage in Chemical & Engineering News
Stephen K. Ritter, Senior Editor of C&EN,
has recently written an article entitled "Deoxofluorination Reagents
Proliferate". The article focuses on the
multiple benefits of the newcrystallinefluorinating
reagents developed by OmegaChem, XtalFluor-E® and XtalFluor-M®,
in comparison to other widely used deoxofluorination reagents, such as DAST, Deoxo-Fluor
and Fluolead. The article can be accessed directly via the link

The article was then published in the May 3rd
2010 issue of Chemical & Engineering News in the Science & Technology
Concentrates section; Volume 88, Number 18 pp. 34-35.
April 19, 2010 - OmegaChem publishes an article in the Journal of Organic Chemistry
The
paper entitled: Aminodifluorosulfinum Salts: Selective Fluorination Reagents
with Enhanced Thermal Stability and Ease of Handling (J. Org. Chem.2010, 75, 3401-3411), provides an in depth
look onXtalFluor-E® and XtalFluor-M® mediated fluorinations and their all-around
advantages over Deoxo-Fluor, DAST, Fluolead, ...

March 29, 2010 - OmegaChem was awarded the Canadian Innovation Leader (CIL) Certificate - NRC-IRAP
OmegaChem received this morning the Canadian
Innovation Leader (CIL) Certificate from the National Research Council of
Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP). The Canadian
Innovation Leader (CIL) Certificate Program was made to recognize Canadian
firms that have successfully developed and applied innovative technologies,
linking scientific research to commercialization, jobs, and economic growth.
Omegachem has recently developed Aminodifluorosulfinium Tetrafluoroborate Salts as Stable and Crystalline Deoxofluorinating Reagents. A preliminary account on these novel fluorinating reagents has recently been published (Beaulieu, F.; Beauregard, L.-P.; Courchesne, G.; Couturier, M.; LaFlamme, F.; L’Heureux, A. Org. Lett. 2009, 11, 5050-5053).
